Yohanan Kressel
Yohanan Kressel is a physical therapist (BPT) with 17 years of experience, among them ten years of work in the geriatric field. He recently graduated as a gerontologist as well (MA), both degrees at the department of Physical Therapy and the department of Gerontology respectively, Ben Gurion University in the Negev, Be’er Sheva, Israel. Currently he is a PhD thesis student and researcher, under the supervision of Prof. Ya’akov Bachner, in the department of Gerontology, Ben Gurion University in the Negev, and also a member of the Minerva Center on Intersectionality in Ageing. His PhD thesis topic is aging ex-prisoners within up to two years outside of prison, their rehabilitation process, the marginalization they are facing both as ex-prisoners AND as aging/elderly adults, as well as the difficulties they are having accepting their own ageing outside of prison.
