Saphia – “In the book of my life, there are two lines of joy, and the rest is torment and sorrow.”
“”I am 88 years old, I am strong and know how to stand my ground. My dear husband lived for 57 years, he was a good husband, loved me and respected me. I gave birth to 10 children, 4 daughters and 6 sons. One died when he was in ninth grade; he was the top student in school.
And three years ago, I lost another son. Thank God for every event… One must be patient.
But it is not easy to lose loved ones, a husband and sons. The sadness affects your health. I didn’t have a stroke, but I suffered nerve damage after my son’s death and simply neglected my health, despite having surgeries. Today, I am confined to a wheelchair and function with one hand; I do everything with the functioning hand, thank God. I love people and share my life wisdom with them.”
“My friends and I used to play on the rooftop, we didn’t care about the world. When someone walked down the street, we threw small stones at them. They would look around and see no one… and we would laugh and play. We were very happy.”
“I saw that my husband was about to collapse, so I stood by his side and supported him greatly. One day I went to the cemetery, and the next day he did, but I said that we must accept God’s decree. What will those say who God did not bless with children?”
