Aysel Sultan is a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Educational Sciences of Goethe University Frankfurt, in Germany and a visiting research fellow at the Minerva Center on Intersectionality in Aging. Her main research focuses on youth drug use, addiction, recovery, and treatment policies.
She works within the frames of Science and Technology Studies (STS), ‘new’ materialism, and posthuman theory. Present research topics also include care practices and healthcare policies for people who use drugs, as well as related marginalization. She teaches several BA-level courses including international drug policy, youth studies, qualitative and social policy research methods.
