Dr. Abby King

Dr. Abby King received her PhD in anthropology from Durham University, UK (2022), her MSc in medical anthropology from University of Edinburgh, UK (2015), and her BS in neuroscience from Bates College, USA (2012). She worked as a research fellow at University of Edinburgh’s Usher Institute and was a visiting scholar at the Department of Psychiatry, University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, USA. 

She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Gerontology, Faculty of Social Welfare & Health Sciences, University of Haifa, Israel and works closely with the Minerva Center on Intersectionality in Aging (MCIA). Her research focuses on intersections of access to care, mental healthcare delivery, and digital health technologies. Her postdoctoral work maps and critically analyses existing evidence around access to care in old age.
