Mr. Jacob (Kobi) Rozin
Mr. Jacob (Kobi) Rozin, Financial Gerontologist. Mr. Rozin has been working for over two decades in key positions in the capital market and pension funds in Israel. In recent years, Kobi has been studying the interactions between the financial world and the worlds of retirement and aging, and in particular focuses on the phenomenon of financial exploitation of the elderly. The topic of Kobi’s PhD research is “The Interrelationship between Financial Capacity and Financial Exploitation among the Elderly in an Era of Digital Transformation: An Intersection Perspective”, under the supervision of Prof. Tova Band-Winterstein and Prof. Aviad Tur-Sinai.
Kobi graduated his bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1991 and his master’s degree in Gerontology in 2022, both from the University of Haifa, Israel. His topic thesis was “The Experience and Meaning Provided by Upper-Middle-Class People Who are Near Their Retirement, to their Financial Readiness for the Period of Late Old Age (85+), and against the Background of the Coronavirus Crisis (2020-21)”, under the supervision of Prof. Israel Doron.
As part of his master’s degree, Kobi published a white paper on “The Phenomenon of Financial Exploitation of Old Investors: A Review of the Phenomenon and Recommendations for Coping with it.” Supervised by Prof. Israel Doron. Some of the recommendations were adopted by the Capital Market Authority in Israel.
Kobi serves today as an external director in a leading financial institution, a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at the Lev Academic Center and a member of the Gerontology Society in Israel.
