Call for Early-Career Researchers

We are inviting early-career researchers to collaborate with our center in the broad field of intersectionality in ageing, with a focus on multiply marginalized older adults.
There are two pathways
– PhD and Postdoctoral grants (positions connected to MCIA’s research agenda)
– Collaborative Research & Seed Funding to develop competitive external grant proposals

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to): health and socio-economic inequalities, lifelong disability, human rights/ageism/bioethics, trauma, housing and social policy, caregiving, abuse/neglect/violence, and community participation – using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods.

MCIA will provide scientific affiliation, mentorship, and project-based funding (case-by-case).

How to apply: Send a letter of interest (brief research focus) + CV to Prof. Tova Band-Winterstein at MCIA@univ.haifa.ac.il, and indicate Pathway 1 or Pathway 2 in the email subject line.
Deadline: 30 January 2026
